Providing Quality Live Entertainment to Knox County for Over 100 Years

Our History

The Community Concert Association of Knox County has been providing the Knox County community with quality live entertainment for over 100 years!
1919: Started as the "Community Music Club" in Mount Vernon
1933-34: Season tickets were $1.00 for 3 concerts; free tickets for school children contest winners
1936-37: Tickets increased to $2.50; by 1941 to $3.00
War Years: No concerts during the war
1946-47: Became the "Community Concert Association"
1965: Changed name to "Mount Vernon Concert Association"
1980-1990: No concerts
1990: Renewed as "Community Concert Association of Knox County"

Community Outreach

Students are admitted FREE when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. The Association also provides free outreach concerts for all county schools and homeschooled students, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1933 when free tickets were given to school children.
